Job Summary:

The Architect at our engineering consultancy plays a pivotal role in the planning, designing, and managing architectural projects. This position is essential for developing innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs while ensuring that projects align with client objectives and comply with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

Design Development: Develop architectural concepts and designs, encompassing elements such as space planning, aesthetics, building form, and functionality to meet client needs and project goals.

Documentation: Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software to convey design intent.

Material Selection: Select appropriate construction materials, finishes, and architectural elements, ensuring compatibility with project scope, budget, and sustainability principles.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that architectural designs adhere to these requirements.

Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, including civil engineers, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers, to coordinate and integrate architectural elements with the overall project design.

Client Communication: Maintain effective communication, providing updates on project progress, addressing client concerns, and managing client expectations.

Presentation: Prepare and deliver presentations, visualizations, and renderings to communicate design concepts to clients and project stakeholders.

Site Analysis: Conduct site analysis and evaluations to inform architectural design decisions, considering factors like site conditions, topography, and environmental impact.

Project Management: Manage the architectural aspects of projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control, to meet project goals and deadlines.

Sustainability and Innovation: Integrate sustainability principles and innovative architectural solutions into designs, striving for energy efficiency and environmentally responsible practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or a related field. Architectural registration or licensure is a plus.

Proven experience as an Architect in architecture firms or engineering consultancies. Proficiency in architectural design software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools. In-depth knowledge of architectural design principles, codes, and standards.

Robust design and artistic skills, with a portfolio showcasing previous projects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Knowledge of construction and installation processes for architectural projects.

Awareness of sustainability and environmental considerations in architectural design.
