Job Summary:

The HR Professional at our engineering consultancy is responsible for managing human resources activities, policies, and programs to support the organization’s talent management and employee relations. This role is critical in ensuring a productive and harmonious work environment.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection, to hire qualified candidates for the organization.

Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company, including orientation, paperwork, and training.

Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts. Address and resolve issues in a timely and fair manner.

Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluation. Collaborate with managers to improve employee performance and engagement.

Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide guidance on career development and educational opportunities. Coordinate training sessions and programs as needed.

Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and administration. Ensure compliance with labour laws and industry standards.

HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and organizational goals. Ensure consistency and compliance in their application.

Legal Compliance: Stay current with labour laws and regulations to ensure that HR practices and policies comply. Mitigate legal risks and manage employment-related issues.

Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, including employee files, performance evaluations, and personnel data.

Staffing and Workforce Planning: Work with management to determine staffing needs and long-term workforce planning: guide staff retention and turnover strategies.

Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring equal opportunity and fair treatment of all employees.

Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve employee disputes and conflicts, fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM or HRCI) is a plus.

Proven experience in HR roles, preferably in an engineering consultancy or a similar industry. In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.

Proficiency in HR software and systems for payroll, recruitment, and benefits administration. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
